School Break Camps

When school is out, fun is in at the Y.

School break camp includes all of the fun character-building activities any time school is out. The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit offers school break camps for elementary children, preschoolers and teens at most of our YMCA branches.

About School break Camp at the Y

School Break Camp is a fun, safe place for your child to spend their week or time out of school. Campers have a chance to play games, do arts & crafts, and stay active with a variety of activities. Most week-long school break camps include a weekly field trip.

School Break Camps run during the day from 9:00 am–4:00 pm. Our Ys provide before care starting at 7:00 am and after care until 6:00 pm at no additional cost.

School’s Out Inclusion Camp

We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That’s why we offer day camp for children with special needs. Our experienced, caring staff work one-on-one with children to help them to cultivate the values, social skills and relationships that lead to social interactions, good health, and educational achievement.
