Program Highlight: Rock Steady Boxing at the Macomb Family YMCA

The Rock Steady Boxing program at Macomb Family YMCA has long stood as a resource for individuals with Parkinson’s. The program was a first of its kind in 2006, when it was introduced nationwide, and the program has since been adopted into the Macomb Family YMCA by the dedicated Mark Losinski. The program focuses on helping people living with Parkinson’s by building confidence, motor skill abilities, and mental agility. By combining non-contact boxing as well as specialized exercises, this program creates a supportive environment for the community in which participants find a better quality of life and empowerment.
