Hadley is one of our Personal Trainers at the Farmington Family YMCA. She started her weight loss journey about 10 years ago when she had reached about 300 pounds. Her doctor informed her that if she didn’t make any changes to her diet and lifestyle, she was going to die at a young age. Shortly after, her grandmother passed away due to bad health, which ignited a fire in her that started her fitness journey. Hadley was working full-time while going to school full-time, but started to obtain qualifications to become a certified personal trainer. She wanted to know all she could about the best ways to lose weight and how to do it effectively.

Hadley started by taking small steps, such as making healthy swaps for foods she loved. Rather than eating fried chicken, she would make baked chicken instead. She also learned how effective weight training and functional training can be, which began her dramatic weight loss. Her science background gave her the structure to follow a fitness and nutrition plan that are guaranteed to work by making realistic changes instead of following fad diets. She lost 150 pounds in a year and a half! Hadley decided to making personal training a priority and cut down her house as a nurse so she can begin training others full-time.

Hadley wants to ensure her clients are educated in their fitness routine and are held accountable when they are not training with her. She guarantees results by giving her clients homework including; stretching, foam rolling, and cardio. If they follow her regime they are guaranteed weight loss! She also holds them accountable by using MyFitnessPal to track what they are eating, but also so they can see what she is eating to learn new meal ideas and not feel like they are alone in this journey. Hadley is as dedicated to her clients as she is to herself, and if she can do it, so can you!
