Our YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit Board of Directors is comprised of passionate community leaders who are taking action to create change in Metropolitan Detroit. Every year, our Board sets a goal of contributions they will give to the Y’s Annual Campaign, which funds initiatives that build confidence in children, introduce teens to career and college opportunities, give working parents access to care for their children in the summer and more.
Congratulations to our Board for raising $162,699 to change lives in metro Detroit. Collectively, they reached 104 percent of their goal, and they raised 14 percent more than last year’s contributions.
Members of our Board of Directors are shining examples of stepping up and taking initiative. However, there is still much more to do. To continue to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve health and well-being in the community, and give back and support our neighbors, we must all play a vital role in strengthening our communities.
