In our continued effort to keep children safe that are in our care, the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit participated in a child safety peer review July 2022. Staff from the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA in Main and Greater Philadelhpia. helped conduct this introspective safety assessment using Praesidium guidelines.
Over seven years ago YMCA CEOs throughout the US formed Champions of Child Protection to help YMCAs keep children safe. Part of that process is conducting peer reviews to help YMCAs provide services safely by having peers conduct in person reviews.
Thousands of children are in our care so we are proactive in doing our best to keep them safe.
