It is our ultimate aim to continue to help ensure the health and safety of everyone.

Friday October 2, 2020, the Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Governor Whitmer did not have the authority after April 30, 2020 to issue or renew executives orders related to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This was followed by an executive order from Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, MDHHS on Monday October 5, 2020 issuing continued facial covering requirements, social distancing and gathering limitations. Learn more here.

Please know that the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit will continue to follow the current health and safety guidelines as outlined in our reopening and pandemic response plan, which are based upon the Center for Disease Control, CDC and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, MDHHS recommended best practices. Facial coverings will continue to be required while on YMCA premises. We are confident in the procedures and protocol we have in place.

We have made available on our website both our pandemic response plan and our phased reopening plan. Please note guidelines are subject to change as we monitor best healthy and safety practices, along with federal, state and local regulations. We will update you as changes occur.

Thank you for your cooperation with helping to keep our communities safe.

Remember all memberships are association-wide and good to use at all YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit locations.
