The Y has always been a place where families can play and be active together, and that’s more important than ever. Our Ys offer a variety of Family Fitness programs during the course of the year, giving families fun ways to live healthier and make memories for a lifetime.

Family Zumba®

Family Zumba® at South Oakland Family YMCA

Family Zumba® – Zumba® a fusion of hypnotic musical rhythms and tantalizing dance moves to create a dynamic workout designed to be fun and easy to do. Add some Latin flavor and International zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba! For beginner to advanced fitness levels. Children 6 and up are welcomed!

Family Time in the Wellness Center

Working out together is a great way to improve your health and strengthen your relationship with your children. Plus, staying active together is a great way to help kids develop healthy habits that they will reap the benefits from throughout their lifetime.

Wellness Center Children & Teen Orientations

It is essential that our Wellness Centers are a safe place for everyone. To ensure that kids and teens understand how to properly (and safely) use equipment and resources in the Wellness Center, our Ys require that all teens ages 13-17 must go through a Teen Orientation before using the wellness center.
