Today we recognized Ron Deneweth, of Deneweth, Dugan & Parfitt, P.C., as the recipient of the 2014 YMCA John C. Brooks Award. Ron is a committed member of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit Board of Directors and actively tells the story of our Y to both encourage investment in our mission and to spread the word about our life-changing programs.
Every year, the YMCA recognizes someone in honor of John Brooks, who was a passionate fundraiser and supporter of our cause.
Ron exemplifies both the spirit and service of John Brooks. As we endeavored to open our YMCA Detroit Charter Schools, Ron helped us raise funds and open doors so we could realize our goal. He has also served and continues to serve as chair of the Annual Campaign, leading fundraising efforts across the association so we can help more people in our communities.
Ron has previously served as the past chair of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit Board of Directors and on the Birmingham Family YMCA Board of Directors.
