Our Global Partnerships
The YMCA is one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the world, serving more than 45 million people across 120 countries. Ys in the United States play an important role in the global Y Movement through international partnerships that deliver innovative solutions to address youth and community needs across the world.
Our Y partners with YMCAs in two countries: Colombia and Ukraine. Established in 2019, our partnerships allow our Y to support programs and change agents in Bogota, Boyarka, Kyviv, and Lviv.
Bogota YMCA
Our support impacts youth ages 14-28 in Bogota through a program called Youth Builders of Peace. This program strengthens socially vulnerable youth through leadership training, entrepreneurship skill-building, and life skills support.
Ukraine YMCA
Our YMCA has been providing resources to assist the Ukrainian YMCA with their child and youth programs in the disciplines of art, mental well-being and leadership. Over the past year we have assisted with crisis relief impacting the many volunteers and families of the Ukrainian YMCAs.
